The Cliffs village will eventually be home to 11 neighborhoods with more than 1,700 homes. Amenities in the village also include Faiss Middle School, Faiss Community Park, Wet ’n’ Wild water park and an indoor aquatic center built by The Howard Hughes Corporation.

It was recently announced on October 11th that The Howard Hughes Corporation, will be planning and building a brand-new baseball stadium in Downtown Summerlin. The new ballpark will be the future home of the city’s professional baseball team, the Las Vegas 51s, who just announced the end of their Triple-A affiliation with The New York Mets in 2018. The teams have been affiliated for five seasons, but management isn’t worried: the 51s will just have to find another Major League Baseball team to partner with. That shouldn’t be a problem once the new ballpark is open…

The announcement of Summerlin’s new ballpark was followed by a 8-2 vote with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Board of Directors, approving a $80 million dollar naming rights partnership with the owners of the 51s and the Howard Hughes Corporation. The deal allows LVCVA to be the dominant sponsor with naming rights to the stadium for the next 20 years, but also makes sure that ‘Las Vegas’ is always part of the team name. The team is owned by The Howard Hughes Corporation, who procured full ownership involvement earlier this year.
The location of the new ballpark sits on approximately eight acres of land, and lies east of the Downtown Summerlin shopping area, while just south of City National Arena- the National Hockey League’s practice facility for the Vegas Golden Knights. Sahara will be to the south, Charleston to the north, Towne Center to the east and close access to nearby 215 on the west. The $150 million, 10,000-seat, open-air stadium is to be named ‘Las Vegas Ballpark.’
The Las Vegas Ballpark will be designed by HOK, an international architecture firm with expertise in stadium design. HOK has designed upwards of 40 professional and collegiate stadiums worldwide and it’s being widely reported that the new stadium will blend “the distinct architectural style of the Summerlin community with the aviation legacy of Howard Hughes.”
The new ballpark will offer seating options that include 22 suites, club seats, berm seating, party zones, decks, picnic tables, a kids zone, bars, and a pool beyond the outfield wall. The design is meant to create an outdoor festival atmosphere, much like the feeling of Downtown Summerlin, and landscaped to blend in with the surrounding master planned community. There will be parking areas planned on adjacent sites and within walking distance.
In addition to serving as the home of the Las Vegas 51s, the new ballpark will host civic, community & non-profit events, along with other sporting functions. Though still under design, groundbreaking on The Las Vegas Ballpark is expected late this year or early next year, with their first season beginning in 2019.
As part of a statement, Don Logan, President/COO, Las Vegas 51s, said: “We can’t wait to put down roots in Downtown Summerlin, a destination that already has a reputation for best in fun, family-oriented entertainment.”

It may be sad to start removing the items that make your house a home, but it's an important part of the process.
Mass appeal doesn't mean “boring"
Your staged home can still be colorful, just stay away from extremes. If you paint, stick to whites, grays, or neutrals. Add flourishes of color with window treatments or accent furniture, but try to choose items that will appeal to both genders.
